Originally from Gloucester, Terry moved to north Wales in 1999 at the age of 20 to attempt to get his life back on track. Terry had started to use ‘soft’ drugs at a young age, and by the age of 17 had matured into a full blown heroin addict living on the streets of Gloucester.
His move to North Wales was initially to complete a rehabilitation programme in Colwyn Bay, however during his stay in North Wales, he met and married his wife, single mum Ruth, and found himself settling in Abergele, as a husband and father of two.
Terry’s recovery journey has not been the ‘quick fix’ that some are fortunate to experience. It has been an uphill battle at times, but a real breakthrough came when in 2004, Terry enrolled onto the Teen Challenge Programme down in South Wales where he had an encounter with Jesus Christ! This encounter changed his life forever. Never again could he be satisfied with his old coping mechanisms. He had met and been transformed by his Maker … he now knew the truth!
‘Let Me In’ is Terry’s debut album depicting a journey from the streets of despair into an eternal life, overcoming many trials and battles which would tempt him to return to the life he’d left behind.
But God spoke to Terry through his song writing; songs which reminded him of Gods nearness; of His Mighty Hand to save; of His sovereignty over every situation, and his mercy & grace. God is Love and this Love flows through Let Me In as a testimony of God’s goodness and faithfulness to save. Even when the darkness was at its greatness Gods Light & Love always prevailed.
